The Springer Sisters Band.

A versatile Barn dance and ceilidh band and caller, with some of the most experienced musicians in the South-East. A lively and flexible band offering a good range of fun dances, with tunes from the British Isles, Europe and America, and a bit of “folky jazz”.  Available for weddings, parties, wakes, festivals, clubs, gatherings and more as a three, four or five piece band (or more) to suit your event.

Meet the Band

Carolel ive.JPG (22886 bytes)  Carole:  accordion, whistle, guitar and serpent.  A long established musician since her teens playing a wide range of music styles.   Has a strange fascination for old Land Rovers and Lionel Jefferies ! Pamela gas.JPG (8185 bytes)  Pamela:  Fiddle, tenor banjo, guitar, bass.  More years than she would admit in barn dance & ceilidh bands with a bit of  jazz and rock-n-roll ! Likes jiving !

Gill n Nick.JPG (18310 bytes)  Gill:   5 string banjo, ukulele, guitar.  An enthusiastic and very able bluegrass and folk musician. Collects banjos and sewing artefacts.. nimble little fingers this one  Nick:  double bass, lap steel guitar.  Adds an important depth to the band’s sound, but more important the gopher !  Collects puncture repair outfits...very strange

yelfige.JPG (37349 bytes)  Chris and Alice :   For a bit of a difference, with that low brass sound. They are both tuba freaks... .know anyone else with 45 tubas? Probably more, bit hard to keep track!!! 

Mike harps.JPG (21183 bytes)     Mike. A brilliant, versatile harpist and collector with a forest of instruments. george1.JPG (20712 bytes)  George. Our regular bass player a few years ago. Now on occasions we can persuade him to join us.. and  a brill musician he is too !! An ice cream and whiskey enthusiast.
